Rural Renewal Stream
The County of Paintearth is proud to be a Designated Community under the Rural Renewal Stream of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program.
If you are an employer located within the County of Paintearth and are interested in participating in the Rural Renewal Stream, please fill out the Application Form and the Employer Declaration. Applications will require a 30-day review process.
The Program aims to help employers in Paintearth County fill local labour gaps and retain newcomer employees in Coronation, Castor, Brownfield, and Halkirk by connecting them and their families to local services and community support. The Program endorses eligible newcomers as candidates for nomination by the Alberta government for fast-tracked Canadian Permanent Residency. The endorsement of a Designated Community is a prerequisite to participate in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program.
To immigrate to Coronation, Castor, Brownfield, or Halkirk through the Rural Renewal Stream, candidates must receive a job offer from an employer who is based in the County of Paintearth and has been approved. Employers are responsible for applying to the program, vetting and selecting the best candidate, and requesting the endorsement letter from the Committee on their behalf.
Prior to applying for an employment opportunity, candidates are encouraged to review, understand and ensure they meet all eligibility requirements under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program.
Update: Annual nomination allocation limits have been set effective January 1, 2026 and the limit given annually by Alberta Immigration to the County of Paintearth for January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 is 28.
